Waterfox 6.7 has moved to the ESR 153 platform and now features native tree tabs, the Nova style, and twelve colour palettes. It also boasts a rebuilt ad blocker panel, legacy extension support, a new setup flow, and update controls that finally deliver on their promises.
- Upgrades the underlying platform from ESR 140 to ESR 153, incorporating a year's worth of improvements to the engine, performance and security.
- Rebuilds tree-style tabs as a native feature of the vertical tab strip, replacing the 6.6 bundled Tree Style Tab fork.
- Adds Nova, a new browser style to sit alongside Proton and Photon, plus twelve colour palettes with light and dark variants.
- Redesigns the ad blocker panel to include a status hero, separate ad, tracker and pop-up counts, and a breakdown of what was blocked on the page.
- Restores legacy extension support, covering restartless, overlay-based and restart-required add-ons with integration in about:addons.
- Rebuilds the onboarding setup as a five-step process covering language, import options, appearance, tab layout and privacy settings.
- Adds update controls under Settings and fixes `Check for updates` so that it only checks.
- Adds ARM64 builds for every platform, plus official Linux package repositories with DEB and RPM packages.
