• Auto-hide vertical tabs. Keep the sidebar hidden until you move your mouse to the edge of the window.
• Prevent tabs from widening when audio plays. A new option under Settings → Appearance → Tab bar lets you prevent audio indicators from changing tab widths.

• Corrected the remaining Firefox references in Waterfox branding, including the “Customize Waterfox Home” button.
• New backup folders are now named Restore Waterfox. Backup folders created previously are still supported.
• Fixed conflicting keyboard shortcuts in the French right click menu.

Improvements

• Improved compatibility with JPEG XL images.
• Restored the standard new tab page layout while keeping recommended stories and sponsored content disabled.

Waterfox 6.7.3 incorporates the security updates covered by Mozilla Foundation Security Advisory 2026-93.
